A backpack...
...that doubles a a sledge.
During a workshop week, we were organized into groups of three students and challenged to design a 1:1 scale sledge concept within just one week. The result of our collaboration was ClipRide, a backpack that can be securely clipped onto a pair of skis for convenient transport.
Our prototype was constructed using a combination of wood, 3D-printed components, cardboard, PVC, and fabric.
To demonstrate the concept, we incorporated a set of old skis to showcase the clip-in system and how the backpack attaches seamlessly. The backpack features a 20L capacity, with an optional fore-ski attachment and handlebar, providing both flexibility and functionality for winter sports enthusiasts.
